International communication and Cooperation

NMEFC has participated in much international cooperation, including multilateral and bilateral meetings, workshops and projects. These activities involve a wide range of the marine environment forecasting system, especially in marine disasters pre-warning, alert, prevention and mitigation. We also send staffs to IOC (International Oceanographic Commission) of UNESCO, ITSU (International Coordination Group for the Tsunami Warning System in the Pacific) of IOC, NEAR-GOOS coordination commission, Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), Joint WMO/IOC Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology (JCOMM) and so on.
